Being my second year racing 1/8th buggies, I have learned alot
about going fast is sometimes driving slow, you dont always
need to go all out to win. I am still working on finding my
"perfect setup", there is ALWAYS room for improvement
and one day I want to bump up to the Pro Buggy class, I just
need to whittle my lap times down some more and keep them consistant.
Today (January 13th) was a great day for me, not only did the
buggy perform as it should, but I qualified 2nd in the A-Main
(13 racer's in sportsman, 8 made the A-Main). I managed to avoid
the first turn crash and took an early lead. I held the 1st
place postition for the full 15 minutes, never really challenged,
but I knew they were always there just waiting for me waiting
for me to make a mistake. At the end of the main, I had turned
36 laps and the engine ONLY temped at 210 degrees. THIS MOTOR
IS SIMPLY AMAZING!!! So far this year I have finished 2nd, 1st
and 1st, hopefully many more victories for STS and maybe a TQ
or 2. Thanks again for helping me stay out in front of the competition...
Good luck to all in races to come, you dont need a $300 engine,
you just need a STS!!!

Today was great, 22 racers in sportsman again, I
won the first round of qualifying, flamed out in the second for
a DNF and took 2nd in the 3rd qualifier (I got beat by .50 seconds
on the final turn). Starting 2nd in the A-Main, I over took 1st
place on the 1st lap, held the lead again all the way until the
20 minute finish tone. 2nd place was 3 laps down (Mugen MBX5 with
a C6) and 3rd place was 6 laps down (XRay XB8 with a STS D21T).
I now have 3 gallons into this engine, it still has great pinch
and loads of power. Temps are still down as they should be and
that pipe is simply amazing!!!
