My name is Mark Young,
I have been racing for about 5 years now. I started with a T-Maxx 2.5 and raced that for about a year after bashing it for a year. From there I bought an Associated TC3 and started racing electric on road. I raced it for about 1 year and got the off road itch again. I discovered a local club that was forming and building an off road track. I quickly joined the club and tried racing the t-maxx again. While racing I watched the 1/8-scale buggies and decided that was for me. I bought an Ofna Hyper 7 PBS and raced that for about a year and a half. I have since sold that car and stepped up to a Mugen Seiki MBX 5. I started racing buggies in the sportsman class and have worked my way up to the expert class.

I am Vice President of our local club now. Our club has approximately 100 members though not all of them race. We are the Tulsa Oklahoma Racing Club. Or T.O.R.C for short. If you want to check us out we are at www.tulsaracing.net.

I am the first in our club to run an STS engine and I am very anxious to show these RB guys what I got under the hood. I am one of those people that believe horsepower doesn’t win races, drivers do. But it’s nice to have when you need it.

So keep the shiny side up, keep the corner marshals hands in their pockets, and one of the things I tell new racers is “big air is cool, but if you ain’t on the ground your slowing down.”
