Jonathan Hernandez Race UPdate:
Hey everyone...., I hope you had a great TURKEY DAY.... Well
just letting STS owners know that I still have to say that the
STS motor is one of a kind....., I took 3rd openning day at
Delta RC Raceway...., 18 second lap times and consitant 19's.
First place driver was using a JP modified and we both battled
for about the first ten minutes of the Amain. ( 8 cars in the
B and 8 cars in the A. That's 16 pro drivers using different
engines. The STS .21T has tramendous low, mid, and especially
top end. A little bit to much motor for the indoor short track,
so I switched to the .21B for the main and the same thing.....,
too much motor but controllable in & out of the corners....,
I'm running a JP1 pipe, 2 carbon shoes with 1.0 springs, and
1 aluminum with 1.1 spring...., this prevents tire spin at low
torque and when the Rpm's are up the aluminum hits hard....,
These engines have proven time and time again that they can
compete at Pro level at half the cost of most engines and last
just as long. If anyone has any questions on how I am tunning
the clutch and the engine...., email me @ jonathanh911@yahoo.com
Hey Glen (R9)...., How have you been...,
Best of the West round two B main with barely broken 21B. I
had great acceleration and great run time..., 7 minutes.
Northern California Championship Series is here and I have 6
rounds to prove STS is a Pro level contender...., These motors
have not failed me yet. The motor is producing just as much
power as Novarossi and Vspecs. Tell the R/c world that whoever
doesn't know about STS they will soon enough. I also have to
tell you that the clutch shoes are primo...., they don't mushroom
and they last longer than Mugen shoes...., less maintanance.
The color to the mugen clutch bell does not turn blue anymore.....,
Keep sanding downd the bell and save a couple bucks a month
on bells...., Thanks STS...,

Hey everyone… I know…., I know…., it’s
been a while since the last post. Reason being is because I
have been racing back to back races. Races like Proline Nitro
Maxx Challenge
(3rd in the C with CEN Matrix/ STS .21B),
4 Rounds for the Northern California Championship Series. Round
one you guys know about because I posted a sick video and result,
Round II, first check out quick video done by Jason Temple of
WCE Racing
http://www.wcecentral.com/media/videos/jonathanrescue.wmv
STS engine brought me to qualify 4th in the 1/8 scale Pro Buggy
A main and keep me in the front for 15 minutes until an unexpected
break to my CEN Matrix Buggy. STS also brought me to Qualify
5th in the truggy A main and play catch the leader due to my
3 lap loss because the glow plug loosened itself during the
warm up(Finished 5th). Round III I ran the STS.21T and Qualified
2nd in 1/8 scale buggy Amain with 1 second off the TQ pace.
Guys remember, “If it aint broken, don’t fix it.
I readjusted my rear ride height before the main thinking the
ruts were really bad. Here’s a link…., check out
the fast lap times, I was right there with 1st position. I Finished
7th

Round 4 Finals I ran the .21T and qualified 4th in the Pro Buggy
A-main. Didn’t get to start the race because my pitman
somehow either flooded my tank or hit the flywheel on his knee.
The STS engines are the most inexpensive top notch engine
you can find in the industry. Trust me…., I’ve
ran with the best at Nationals…., Like Adam Drake, Marty
Korn, Smolnick, Hara, and some others that were in my class.
When I could keep my car planted and stuck next to Drake’s
Losi, I had more horsepower than he did on the low and the top
end whipped him out. I think he changed his engine after the
1st qualifier. It was the best experience ever to be out there
with the best of the best. STS has not failed me once. I’ve
been running the same motor for 4 gallons now and it just broke
in at 3. http://www.rescuerc.com/offroadresults.asp?strResults=091706
Just look at my qualifying positions for truggy and buggy.
Amain Qualified 2nd in buggy and 5th in truggy.
pics for the finals coming soon
